Indigenous Handcrafts Guyana Inc. is a Guyanese company that specializes in the production of Handcrafted items such as unique furniture pieces, wooden carvings, hand-painted scenes and pottery. Of these, our major product is our line of cherished furniture pieces which are hand-woven specifically with durability, comfort and beauty in mind.

For our furniture pieces, we have chosen the finest of Guyana's Indigenous raw materials, which are sustainably harvested. The majority of our furniture pieces are produced from the Kufa and Nibbi vines which are woody vines that grow upwards from the forest floor, while attaching themselves to the trunk of high trees.

The Kufa vines give a cane like appearance and are found in different sizes according to the stage at which they are harvested. They are utilized in the production of the main structure of the furniture. The Nibbi, however, is used for binding joints as well as for weaving on some of the furniture pieces thus giving a wicker-like appearance.
